How to Make Your Cut Flowers Last

When you buy locally grown flowers, you are buying them at their peak in terms of quality, fragrance and bloom time. We strive to make sure our blooms will last at a minimum of a week, and many will continue past that!

Here are a few tips to make them last the longest:

1. Put your fresh flowers into a clean vase or container.

2. Keep them in an area out of direct sunlight or heat.

3. Change the water daily. If desired, add a bit of flower food each time.

4. You can also give the stems a fresh cut each time you change the water.

5. Avoid putting them near fresh fruit or vegetables. Some of these can emit vapors that harm the flowers.

6. Remove spent blooms or petals as they die back.
